Apps to teach science to kids.
The "Gases" app teaches the chemistry of 15 different gases. The app helps kids learn where the gas is found in nature (ozone, for instance is found in our atmosphere in the stratosphere, there the ozone is “good”, it blocks the harmful UV radiation. You will find out also about the “bad” ozone), properties of the gas (ozone has a blue color, sharp odor, reactive, etc.), uses of the gas (ozone is used to purify drinking water), its structural formula, number atoms, etc. Kids learn terms such as noble gases, greenhouse gasses, inert, electron shell, etc.
Animated examples present basic gas theory as well as examples of the gases in everyday life.
